OUR MISSION:

A group of volunteers from the Town of Hammond has formed the H.O.P.E citizens group (Hammond Opens Possibilities for Everyone). HOPE ‘s mission is twofold; community outreach and town revitalization. HOPE has begun surveying residents for community needs and ideas that will create positive growth in Hammond. HOPE will be supporting local projects, small business, and shared spaces. They will bring comments to the Village Board, the Town Board, and the Fire District. Their “hope” is that community involvement will lead to town revitalization. Currently, HOPE is also supporting the Hammond Town Board’s old town hall restoration project through community awareness and grant writing. The first step the Town Board is considering is a Building Conditions Assessment and Reuse Report to diagnose the building structure, prioritize first steps, and narrow the use. HOPE believes the restoration of the old town hall is a key piece in the revitalization of Hammond by creating more economic strength through tourism, and increasing town partnerships and business ventures.

JOIN US!

HOPE meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the new town hall, 5pm-6pm.
